Rada gives preliminary approval to bill on property owners
Parliament at first reading has adopted bill No. 10547 on including associations of multi-apartment block co-owners on the list of persons who have the right to get information on property owners.
Some 262 MPs on Thursday voted for government bill No 10547 on amending Article 28 of the law of Ukraine on the state registration of property rights to immovable property and encumbrance.
As reported, draft law No. 10547 initiated by the Cabinet of Ministers was registered in the parliament on June 1, 2012.
"The adoption of the law will allow multi-apartment block co-owners to get from the state register of property rights to real estate information on the owners of residential and non-residential premises in such buildings," reads an explanatory note to the document composed by the Justice Ministry of Ukraine.
Earlier, according to the comparative table to the bill, the right to get such information was provided to property owners, heirs (successors) and persons in whose interests encumbrance was set, or the authorized representatives of all these categories of owners.
