You're reading: Poroshenko appoints Kunitsyn as his adviser

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed a decree appointing Serhiy Kunitsyn as his freelance adviser.

The decree to that effect was posted on the website of the head of state on Tuesday, June 24.

Kunitsyn, 53, is a member of the UDAR fraction in the Verkhovna Rada.

As reported, on March 26, Ukraine’s interim president, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Oleksandr Turchynov, dismissed Kunitsyn as the president’s permanent representative in Crimea for the improper performance of duties.

Kunitsyn held the post since Feb. 27, 2014.
