Ukraine's Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka has stated that former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is able to participate in investigatory and court proceedings.

“The investigators have examined a medical document reading that Tymoshenko is able to participate in court and investigatory proceedings,” Pshonka said at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday, Jan.18.

He also stressed that the decision to forcibly remove female parliamentarians from Central Clinical Hospital No. 5 was legal and was taken in accordance with all necessary procedures.

“Everything was done according to the law and everything should be done legally in our country, and not using whims and provocations,” Pshonka said.
