You're reading: Turchynov appoints Heads of Cherkasy, Chernivtsi and Khmelnytsky regions

Acting President of Ukraine, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov has appointed Leonid Prus the Chairman of Khmelnytsky regional state administration, Mykhailo Romanov – Chairman of the Chernivtsi regional state administration and Yuriy Tkachenko – Chairman of the Cherkasy regional state administration.

According to the Web site of the acting head of state, Turchynov signed the corresponding decrees Nos. 298/2014, 299/2014 and 300/2014, on Saturday night, in accordance with Articles 112 and 118 of the Constitution of Ukraine.

Since 2012, Prus has been Head of the state inspectorate on plant quarantine in Khmelnytsky region. He is a member of UDAR party and was a candidate No. 174 on the party’s election list during the parliamentary elections of 2012.

Since 2007, Romanov has been Head of the Pension Fund in Chernivtsi region and in 2003-2005 he already was the Head of Chernivtsi regional state administration. Before that he was Deputy Head of the main Supervision and Auditing Directorate of Ukraine and Head of Supervision and Auditing Directorate in Kyiv.

Since 2005, Tkachenko has been Head of the State Tax Administration in Cherkasy region. Before that he was Head of the Cherkasy Regional Directorate of JSC State Savings Bank of Ukraine.
