Batkivschyna party leader and former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has met with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State William Burns.
The Batkivschyna press service reports that Burns congratulated
Tymoshenko on her release and expressed confidence that her reengagement
in political affairs would help stabilize the situation in Ukraine. He
also conveyed congratulations from U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.
Tymoshenko thanked the United States for efforts aimed at supporting democracy and peace in Ukraine.
The two also discussed the situation in Ukraine and exchanged opinions on ways to overcome the crisis
