You're reading: Ukraine plans to introduce vehicle recycling tax in response to similar action by Russia

 The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will consider on Monday the introduction of vehicle recycling tax in Ukraine on the goods which are subject to the collection of the same tax in Russia.

 “On Monday, the government will consider the issue of introduction of a similar tax in Ukraine on the goods which are subject to the collection of vehicle recycling tax in Russia. In a word, our actions will be absolutely adequate to the actions of our Russian partners,” he wrote on his Facebook page during a chat with the network users on Friday.

At the same time, the premier said that the government would prepare a draft bilateral agreement with Russia, which will propose not levying vehicle recycling tax on exports from Ukraine, as well as exports from Russia.

As reported, a law on a 30% vehicle recycling tax on separate categories of cars produced in Russia or imported to the country comes into force on August 1, 2012.
