LONDON — Britain's government says French President Francois Hollande will hold a lunch meeting in London next week with Prime Minister David Cameron.

Cameron’s spokesman Steve Field told reporters on Friday that Hollande would travel for talks on Tuesday, to discuss efforts to tackle the eurozone debt crisis and kick-start the continent’s sluggish economic growth.

Hollande, who took office in May, and Cameron held their first talks on May 19 at the British embassy in Washington ahead of a Group of Eight summit at Camp David.

Cameron insisted they would have a strong working relationship, after the British chief sided with Nicolas Sarkozy during the French presidential election campaign.
