You're reading: Georgian folk dance with Sukhishvili

There is one folklore group that was given a chance to perform on the stage of Italy’s renowned opera house La Scala.

It was the Sukhishvili National Ballet from Georgia, also welcomed by notable stages of Coliseum and the Metropolitan Opera, among others.

The show of the Georgian dancers was even recognized the best Broadway show once.

The choreography dazzles with twirls, leaps, spins and unrestrained energy of over 100 dancers. Don’t worry if you have seen them before, the group will present seven new dances.

Named after its founder, the troupe was the first professional state dance company in Georgia founded in 1945.
