April 7Easter baking How do you make the doughy wonders for Easter, and what’s going on in the back of a bakery shop? This Saturday, Wolkonsky pastry shop in Podil will give a tour and a master class where children will see the kitchen operate, make sweet animals and decorate an Easter cake.At the end, there will be a tea party with Easter cakes, and children will be able to take their creations home. The Railway children

This is a movie about a mother and three children who had to move from the city to the countryside. Their only fun is the railway station, full of secrets and adventures. One day, the children meet a man who can help them find their much-missed dad.

The mysteries of India

You don’t have to buy expensive plane tickets to have a quick trip to India this Saturday. Kids can learn about the country’s traditions, color and places at a special event in Geography Club.

One of the highlights of the day is a master class on mehendi, the art of henna painting.

Spring Book Fair

Fun in bulk is expected at the book fair that will be taking place in Kyiv Expo Plaza exhibition center this weekend.

Children’s folklore band will be playing, a puppet theater will be performing, clowns going around, and so on. Bu the main attraction is books, of course. There will be plenty of them to see and buy.

Easter is a great spring holiday with a lot of opportunities for children to be creative. Making a little chick for the Easter basket, or decorating the basket itself are just some of the options available at this master class.

Marine art

The sea inspires just about everyone. Some are inspired to lounge on a beach, but your children might prefer to use it as inspiration for art. At this master class, children will discuss sea-themed art works, and then create their own.

A tour of a Scriptorium

To see how monks wrote books for centuries, children will be able to visit a scriptorium, a special place in the Pechersk Lavra dedicated to book writing and publishing. They will see ancient manuscripts, rare book editions and printing machines.

They will also be able to try their hand in writing using an unusual device called the Kalam – a sharpened reed for writing on birch bark or palm leaves, and later – in ink on paper.
