1960s Ukrainian art

The National Art Museum presents the first exhibit in many years that brings together works of Ukrainian artists from the 1960s. The exhibit features 23 artists from around the country.

‘Merry Christmas, Ukraine’

A concert by Ukraine’s National Brass Band will deliver beloved classical Christmas hits, including Christmas blues of Louis Armstrong and Frank Sinatra, the classics of Pyotr Tchaikovsky, and jazz of Glenn Miller.

Made-in-Ukraine gifts market

UAMade Fest, one of Kyiv’s regular pop-up markets with locally-produced goods, focuses on Christmas presents this time. The fair will sell clothing by independent local designers, accessories, home decorations, and souvenirs. Children’s entertainment will be offered.

Noize MC

Russian hip hop and rap star Ivan Alekseev, known by the stage name Noize MC, will perform in Kyiv’s Stereo Plaza. In interviews, Alekseev said his band was “blacklisted in Russia” because of his participation in anti-government rallies.

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’

The long-anticipated sequel of the “Star Wars” saga finally comes to the screens. The events in the new movie take place roughly 30 years since the Episode VI, that was released in 1983.
