Asian Food and Culture Festival

The Asian Food and Culture Festival will celebrate the culture of Asian countries. The event will include art performances and exhibitions, documentary screenings and national food. Asian-style accessories, gifts, and home decor pieces will be on sale.

Food and Wine Festival

A perfect idea for those craving a hedonistic weekend. The Food and Wine Festival offers just what the name suggests: tastings of wine from Ukrainian and foreign producers, a vast selection of cheese, and all kinds of bread baked on the spot.

New German Cinema

The New German Cinema Festival will screen five feature movies released in 2013-2015, and a 1969 classic movie “Baal.” The list includes “Victoria” (2015, criminal drama), “Phoenix” (2014, drama about a Holocaust survivor), “Elser” (2015, historical drama), “Finsterworld” (2013, psychedelic drama), “Ein Geschenk der Götter” (2014, comedy).

Ambrose Akinmusire

Ambrose Akinmusire is a renowned jazz musician and trumpeter, owner of several major jazz awards. The quartet led by Akinmusire will perform in Kyiv for the first time. Apart from Akinmusire, the band includes Sam Harris on the piano, Harish Raghavan on contrabass, and Justin Brown on drums.

‘Nudes in the City’

Kyiv photographer Ruslan Lobanov specializes in female nude photography. His new exhibition matches naked women with urban landscapes of various cities.

Jinjer

Ukrainian metal core band Jinjer was founded in 2009 in Gorlivka, a city near Donetsk in eastern Ukraine. The band is well-known for the trademark sharp sound of its vocalist, Tetiana Shmailyuk. In 2013, the band was recognized as The Best Ukrainian Metal Act.
