Spartak Stadium will host a traditional Bavarian beer drinking fest this year between Sept. 21 and 23.
The festival’s history dates back to 1810 when all citizens of Munich were invited to the wedding of Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Teresa from Saxony. All of them were treated to free beer.
In Kyiv visitors of the fest will have chance to try authentic Munich beer, French fries, pork ribs, German sausages, coleslaw and other traditional German dishes.
The event will include several competitions and performances by local and foreign musicians.
Besides the celebrations at Spartak Stadium, several Kyiv pubs will be marking the fest. Bierstube, Viola, Art Club 44 and Orekh (nut) are among those venues.
