This exhibition is a first of its kind.
Anything precious that has ever been given to the nation’s four presidents, is out in the open. Some 600 pieces make for a curious show, and it’s interesting to see who got what and why at official functions at home and abroad.
Experts say that the presidents usually get the presents that fit their image abroad, thus Viktor Yushchenko received an array of ethnic things, while the current president mostly gets accessories, expensive paintings and souvenirs.
