Today my former colleagues at a congress of Solidarity voted for stripping me of my parliamentary mandate.

Of course, I’m not surprised.

I was only disappointed with the position of some of my colleagues.

Some people who claim to be vehement anti-corruption warriors are not voting for stripping (Poroshenko Bloc heavyweight) Ihor Kononenko of the mandate but at the same time on his orders they’re expelling someone whom (Kononenko) doesn’t like.

I was also disappointed with my former fellow UDAR party members (who joined the Poroshenko Bloc).

I thought they wouldn’t stain themselves but unfortunately there are no principles in Ukrainian politics. I learned that lesson well.

Everybody understands why the faction made this decision.

This can’t be called anything other than repression. I’m too undesirable for people who currently control the faction.

I didn’t hesitate to speak about Kononenko’s corruption, (Poroshenko Bloc lawmaker Oleksandr) Hranovsky’s raidership, managers of corrupt schemes and the corrupt Central Election Commission, where cronies of (ex-President Viktor) Yanukovych are still sitting.

When I spoke about all this at the faction, colleagues were looking at me as if I were an idiot.

Actually I was a naive idiot because I thought that the system could be changed, and I could influence something.

I was sure that there are not only scumbags and criminals in the party but also honest people who can be persuaded to take action.

But their number turned out to be very small.

I didn’t hold on to my mandate, otherwise I wouldn’t have left the faction. I went to work in the Rada, not to build corruption schemes.

That’s why I didn’t get anything except for my Hr 6,000 salary, and I will somehow survive the loss of such a salary.

But I won’t deny that I’m upset and disappointed.

I’m disappointed not with the loss of status but with the absence of anything good up there. There’s not even a hint at care about the state’s interests.

Corruption penetrates absolutely everything.

The only thing that the president’s entourage is doing is the creation of corruption schemes and search for spoils, and the president knows full well about it.

The Poroshenko Bloc’s faction is run by (lawmaker Serhiy) Berezenko, Kononenko and Hranovsky, who are only interested in controlling corrupt cash flows, finding what they can seize, milking the struggling Odesa Port Plant.

The rest of the (bloc) lawmakers, except for a few, are just their puppets who raise their hands at the right moment.

I could have gone down that road, and then I would be sitting quiet now, with a mandate in my pocket, and would get good (illegal) bonuses.

But I don’t want that because I’m used to not only living in the present but also looking into the future. I just don’t know where this policy will lead us.

I don’t understand why people who saw the downfall of Yanukovych and his Party of Regions, are repeating his path all the way through.

The Poroshenko Bloc seems to be leading the country to something terrible. And I don’t want to take part in that.

Many are asking me what I’m going to do next. For me, the answer is obvious: I will fight!
