Basically this Panama-gate likely has moved Poroshenko’s focus elsewhere, and now he likely needs all the friends he can get, so not willing to take Yatsenyuk out just yet.

For Poroshenko it is now about his personal survival first I guess.

So no prime minister change now until September and the next opportunity for government change and no confidence motion in Yatsenyuk.

I guess Poroshenko will now need to further demonstrate his reform credentials, post Panama-gate, by showing more resolve to address “rule of law” issues, so is going to have to bring some new reform names into the administration.

The choice of general prosecutor is still key – perhaps to deflect criticism from his own personal circumstances he will need finally to show some commitment over rule of law-related issues. Guess this would be the positive spin from all of this.
