The lead story this morning on Korrespondent, that Sarah Palin called for NATO to accept Georgia and Ukraine as members, highlights the vice presidential candidate’s statement: "The United States must be ready to go to war if Georgia" is attacked after it becomes a NATO member.

While readers may agree or disagree with this statement, as well as Ukraine possibly joining NATO, her view is exactly the same as her running mate, John McCain, and Democrats Barack Obama and Joseph Biden.
In April, the U.S. Senate unanimously passed a resolution sponsored by Biden, co-sponsored by McCain and Obama, calling for NATO to accept Georgia and Ukraine. The crux of the NATO treaty remains Article 5, which states that an attack on one member country is to be considered an attack on all.

She simply voiced explicitly something the other candidates supported by their votes.
