The turnover and the number of deals dropped today by 64.46 and 75 percent respectively.

Among the Index basket securities, the Stirol dropped worst - 9.77 percent. Enakievo Metallurgical Plant lost 7.45 percent. Centerenergo slid 6.08 percent down.

The PFTS' year-high peak of 1198.22 came on Jan. 17 and followed a 130 percent rise in 2007. Since the start of the year, the PFTS index has fallen by more than 75 percent from 1160.34.
