Ukraine's premier proposes to up state borrowing in crisis conditions
Premier Yulia Tymoshenko
Kyiv, November 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine’s Premier Yulia Tymoshenko has proposed to activate the policy of state borrowing in the conditions of economic crisis.

"A sensible policy for each country is to borrow money, invest it into effective projects, and to receive an effect, and then to return the money," Tymoshenko said at a governmental meeting on the issues of the development of the housing and communal utilities services in Kyiv on Tuesday.

"It is necessary to use resources, investors' capabilities correctly, and we will," she said.

Tymoshenko said that in the conditions of a worsening situation in the banking sphere and problems with attracting investment it was necessary "to find an investor who knows the issue well and will come to Ukraine with money under the guarantees of the government."
