The program is designed for the five years period, and aims at elaboration of the efficient mechanism for the sale of farming goods by the producers of all patterns of ownership, improvement of the farm produce quality, and of the environmental situation.
The program provides for creation of 25 wholesale markets: 9 in 2009, and 16 in 2011.
In compliance with estimations of the government, the implementation of the program would allow creation of about 75,000 jobs for the participants of the wholesale markets, raise the competitiveness of the domestic farm products, stabilize the price situation on the agrarian market, and strengthen the export potential of the country.
The Cabinet of Ministers predicts that, as a result of implementation of the program, the volume of receipts of the national and local budgets is expected to grow by over Hr 160 million.
The approximate amount of the funds required to implement the program is Hr 4 billion.
The financing of the program will be provided at the expense of the funds of the state budget, and investments.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on September 18, the Verkhovna Rada endorsed the bill, which envisages introduction of simplified taxation of the wholesale farm produce markets.
The authors of the bill said that the creation of the system of these markets would allow bringing of 20-30 percent of the farm goods produced by small-sized and mid-sized farms out of the shadow market.
