Kyiv, November 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukraine has harvested about 54 million tonnes of grain, Agriculture Minister Yuriy Melnyk told journalists at a press conference in Dnipropetrovsk on Thursday.

He said that about 1.6 million tonnes of corn has yet to be harvested from 450,000 hectares.

Melnyk said the country could see a final harvest of over 55 million tonnes of grain. The residual weight of the grain will total 51 million tonnes, he said.

Melnyk also said that farming businesses had completed the harvest of 14.3 million tonnes of sugar beet, with the crop yield being 376 centners per hectare.
