MP Pavlo Zhebrivskyi of the Our Ukraine - People's Self-Defense Bloc, head of the parliamentary subcommittee for budget spending of the Verkhovna Rada budget committee, announced this at the round-table conference entitled 'From Speakeriada to Snap Elections and Escalation of Economic Crisis.'
"The Cabinet of Ministers has already withdrawn the draft state budget for 2009," he said.
According to him, the Economy Ministry approved on November 20 the macroeconomic indicators without taking into account the Finance Ministry's position.
Zhebrivskyi also informed that the Cabinet of Ministers intends to consider the draft state budget at the Saturday, November 22 meeting.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, President Viktor Yuschenko expressed concerns over the Cabinet of Ministers' protraction with the revision of the macroeconomic indicators of the state budget for 2009.
Yuschenko called on the Cabinet of Ministers to submit the adapted state budget for 2009 to the Verkhovna Rada before November 27.
Yuschenko said that the budget should have no deficit and the government should substantially limit the administrative expenses in the national budget.
The Cabinet of Ministers is also obliged to concentrate the resources to use them for development of the sectors hit by the financial crises the most.
In mid-September, the Cabinet of Ministers endorsed the revenues of the 2009 state budget at the level of UAH 285 billion and expenses at the level of Hr 302.4 billion.
The state budget deficit is fixed at the level of 1.4 percent of the GDP.
