Gazprom: No reason to review transit contract with Ukraine

7 January, 12:13 | Interfax-Ukraine
Berlin, January 7 (Interfax) - Ukraine is obliged to fulfill its commitments as a gas transitor state, Vice President of Russia's Gazprom Alexander Medvedev announced Tuesday.

Ukraine obliged to fulfill gas transit commitments - Gazprom

"The terms of the current gas transit contract were coordinated in 2005-2006 and will remain in force for at least two years, so there is no absolutely reason for the latest moves on the part of Ukraine," he told reporters in Berlin after talks with German Economy Minister Michael Glos.

Gazprom sees no grounds for reviewing the contract, A. Medvedev said.

"The transit contract was not just signed, it has been implemented for three years afterwards and Ukraine has been receiving money under this contract. There are no grounds for reviewing it," he said

Of course it needs to be reviewed - and CANCELLED by default of russian side for NON-PAYMENT.
Because russia is not paying for transit fees during this russian-created gas crisis, ukraine by contract terms annul the agreement made with russia under the kgb mole Kuchma.

SOMEBODY must see that. You agree to accept shipments of gas for certain transit price.
Gas shipper stops paying for transit.
Then what? Let them keep shipping transit free????

That old contract is now legally VOID due to NON-PAYMENT from Moscow.

What a clown, the only Void is between his ears... Ukraine breaks all laws, and the Ukrainians scream \'foul\'!
