The law was adopted by 335 votes out of the 226 required.
The law grants tax breaks, including exemptions on VAT and excise duties on exports, to enterprises registered in the special economic zone.
Enterprises operating in the zone will also pay a profit tax at a rate equal to 20 percent of the regular rate.
Twelve free economic zones, or FEZs, and nine priority development territories are presently operating on Ukrainian territory.
Last year, the Cabinet of Ministers tried reducing the number of special economic zones operating in the country.
The Cabinet announced that it intended to determine the effectiveness of the special economic zones and make a decision on their closure based on that determination. The Cabinet, however, failed to achieve this goal.
