a meeting with the participants of the ninth meeting of the of the
council of the intelligence service chiefs of the Black Sea and Caspian

us to develop equal and pragmatic cooperation with other countries,
considering our national interests, principles of sovereignty and
territorial integrity,” reads the statement.

In addition, the president noted that Ukraine wants to cooperate with various international organizations and states.

Yanukovych also stressed that Ukraine’s development is directed at the overall modernization of almost all spheres of its life.

“Our country is also ready to cooperate with other countries using
its own scientific and technical potential in the aerospace,
shipbuilding and other spheres,” the president said.

The president also highly evaluated such forums in the context of the
further development of relations and the improvement of mutual
understanding between countries, as well as in support of peaceful
relations.

“It’s very important [to hold such forums] under conditions of rising
political instability, tendencies for crisis in the world financial and
economic systems, and competition for raw materials, energy sources,
investment, food, and technologies,” Yanukovych said.
