The average price for some crops in Ukraine from August 3 to August 9, 2012 increased by 1-3% compared to the previous week.
According to the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine, the average price of the third class wheat over the week grew by 3% and as of August 9 was UAH 1,922 per tonne. The price of the fourth grade wheat was up by 2%, to UAH 1,792 per tonne, that of the sixth grade wheat - 3% up, to UAH 1,781 per tonne.
In addition, the ministry noted the increase in the price of the third grade barley by 1%, to UAH 1,885 per tonne and that of corn to UAH 1,716 per tonne.
At the same time, the average price of rye as of August 9 had decreased by 1% compared to the previous week, to UAH 1,673 per tonne.
