Four new SsangYong car centers have opened since the beginning of this year in the dealer network of AIS Group, one of the leading operators of the Ukrainian car market.
According to a company press release, centers were opened in the southeastern region of Ukraine – Zaporizhia (Autocenter Skhid-Plus), Luhansk (Argo-Style), Dnipropetrovsk (Porttyre) and Krasnoarmiysk (Donetsk Automobile Company).
AIS, the exclusive importer of SsangYong vehicles to Ukraine, intends in the future to expand its dealer network in the regions. Currently dealers of the Korean car brand operate in all regions of Ukraine.
The press release reads that in the first quarter of this year Ukraine sold 677 SsangYong cars, which is 33 percent up on the same period in 2012, and in April the sales of SsangYong cars amounted to 456 cars, which is over 40 percent up on March.
AIS presents 20 automotive brands on the market of Ukraine, has 35 auto centers, 51 car salons and 36 auto service stations, a chain selling spares, including 40 shops and 50 offices.
The group estimates its share of the car market in Ukraine at 10 percent.
Kremenchuk car assembly plant, part of the group, produces SsangYong cars by SKD.
