American Express will stop selling travelers cheques on the territory of Ukraine, the press service of Bank Khreschatyk has said.

“As for the decision of the international payment system American Express Travel Related Services Co, Inc. on halting the supply of travelers cheques for sale on the market of Ukraine: according to a decision of AMEX, Bank Khreschatyk as an agent from August 1 this year will stop the sale of American Express travelers cheques denominated in euros and U.S. dollars,” the press service of the bank said on Wednesday.

At the same time, according to the report, these changes do not apply to the purchase of travelers cheques: Bank Khreschatyk continues accepting American Express travelers cheques denominated in euros as normal at the current tariffs.
