Applications to import natural gas from Slovakia to Ukraine as of Oct. 7, 2015 totaled 9.6 million cubic meters (mcm), according to tentative data from the operator of the Slovak gas transport system Eustream.

This is the largest volume declared in applications since the beginning of the month: on October 1 through Oct. 5 it was 8.9 mcm, on Oct. 6 – 4.4 mcm.

Public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz also registered the decline in the level of pumping natural gas to underground storage facilities in the first three days of October. If in September daily pumping was 40.1 mcm, in the first five days of October it fell to 19.2 mcm a day, and on October 5 it was only 7.1 mcm, and the total gas stocks as of Oct. 5 were 15.779 billion cubic meters (bcm).

Average daily transit of Russian gas via Ukraine on Oct. 1 through Oct. 5 was 173.6 mcm, while in September it was 201 mcm.
