The new Tax Code is aimed at reducing taxes, but everyone would still have to pay some tax, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov has said.
"The Tax Code is aimed at [the establishment] of low taxes in the country, but absolutely everyone is to pay them," he told reporters on Thursday after an opening ceremony of a new building of the Ukrainian Toxicology Centre at Okhmatdyt Hospital.
According to the premier, there are no reasons for the protests of entrepreneurs against the adoption of the Tax Code.
"The Tax Code includes no clauses that could cause four million people to lose their jobs," Azarov said.
