The gross grain export potential of Ukraine, Russia and Kazakhstan is estimated at nearly 75 million tonnes, therefore, coordinated action between the three countries on this market will help them make the most of this potential, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at the ninth meeting of the Ukrainian-Russian forum in Kyiv on Wednesday.

He recalled a recent interview given by former Chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve Alan Greenspan, who rejected the possibility of default in the United States, because the country, if necessary, would print as many dollars as needed.

"If it’s possible to print [dollars] in this way, then it’s necessary to enter the quiet harbor of material resources, where there are great common interests, and it’s necessary to seek cooperation in those resources that don’t fall in value," Azarov said.

He recalled that Ukraine’s grain export potential was estimated at 24 million tonnes, that of Russia at 35 million tonnes, and that of Kazakhstan at 15 million tonnes.
