Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said that the result of the Ukrainian government's supporting agriculture is stable food prices.

“Agricultural goods prices are stable, despite the unfavorable
weather conditions. We have neither agiotage nor deficit. We have
excellent grain ending stocks,” he said on Saturday, speaking at the
opening of a plant for processing seeds in the village of Rodnykove
(Simferopol district).

He pointed out that “earlier there would be panic in the country
under such difficult weather conditions, but now there is no panic.”

“We have such good wheat and corn ending stocks, and so on, that we are calmly looking forward to 2013,” said Azarov.

As reported, the premier is in Crimea on a three-day working visit.
