Minsk - The Belarusian State Committee for Standardization, Gosstandart, will continue checking and monitoring products of the Ukrainian confectionary producer Roshen until early September.

“We will continue checking Roshen products until early September,” Gosstandart press office told Interfax on Thursday.

“Supervisory measures on Roshen products are being taken throughout the country. State inspectors pay special attention to quality, safety and labels of its products,” the press office said.

“It is checked that pull dates are observed, comprehensive information on product for customers is provided, there documents confirming product safety and quality and other factors,” the press office said.

“Visual control methods as well as instrumental ones – taking samples and doing tests – are used to find inconsistencies and to get reliable results,” the press office said.

“If it is necessary to specify certain aspects, which emerged during checking and monitoring, additional information and documents are requested,” the press office said.

The Russian consumer rights watchdog Rospotrebnadzor has banned imports of Roshen products to Russia.
