You're reading: Belarus to raise tariffs for transit of Russian oil by 9.7 percent from February 1

Minsk, January 22 - Belarus will raise the tariffs for the transit of Russian oil by trunk pipelines across its territory by 9.7 percent. 

This decision was confirmed by an order of the republic’s Economy Ministry, which was published on Jan. 22 on the national legal internet portal.

According to the document, tariffs are on transportation on the sections of oil pipelines that are run by OJSC Gomeltransneft Druzhba and OJSC Polotsktransneft Druzhba, in the direction of Unecha (Vysokoye) – Adamova Zastava will amount to 234.85 Russian rubles per tonnes (here and further – without VAT), in the direction Unecha-Brody – 100.88 rubles per tonnes and in the direction of Nevel (Velikiye Luki) – Polotsk – Vysokoye – 29.27 rubles per tonne.

Belarus and Russia, according to the existing intergovernmental agreement, are jointly confirming tariffs on the transportation of oil across the republic’s territory. An agreement on tariffs, which is set in Russian rubles, occurs annually in the period before February 1. In 2014 Belarus raised tariffs on the transit and transportation of Russian oil by 8.3 percent – 8.9 percent and in 2013 by 9.7 percent.
