Bogdan Corporation, one of the largest players on the Ukrainian automobile market, assembled 20,111 passenger cars in 2010, which is 40% up on 2009 (14,393 cars).

The corporation’s spokesman, Serhiy Krasulia, told Interfax-Ukraine that 921 Bogdan 2310 Pickup commercial vans were produced. Bogdan 2310 van production started in December 2009, when six were made.

Krasulia said that in December 2010 the corporation produced 2,870 passenger cars, which is 3.7 up on December 2009, including 95 Bogdan 2310 vans.

"Thus, the corporation met its target of producing over 20,000 passenger cars, despite difficulties with supplies of car parts in the summer of 2010 due to fires in central Russia," he said.
