Ukraine's State Service for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre will need two to three years to process and include missing information on land plots in the State Land Cadastre, agency head Maksym Martyniuk has said.

“I think if we extrapolate the previous pace [of the process], then in two or three years the fullness of the state land cadastre will be close to 100 percent,” he said when presenting new e-services on land use in Kyiv.

According to Martyniuk, at present the land cadastre is 60 percent full.

He said that the largest amount of processed information and data included in the state land cadastre concerns land plots within settlements, predominantly urban settlements, while outside the boundaries of settlements the largest share of such information concerns land in Kyiv Oblast.

“What are not processed are forests, where there is a large amount of forested areas, there is a correspondingly smaller percentage of information contained in the state land cadastre,” the expert said.
