YAROSLAVL, Russia - The arbitration court of Lipetsk region in Russia has postponed the hearing of a claim of OJSC Lipetsk confectionary factory Roshen (subsidiary of Ukraine's Roshen corporation that belongs to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko), until Aug. 17.

Roshen is challenging the requirement of the inter-district inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service of Russia for large taxpayers in Lipetsk region to reduce the depreciation bonus, a lawyer of the Lipetsk confectionary factory Alexander Guryev has told Interfax.

“After hearing the sides, the court satisfied the petition of a representative of the tax agency and postponed the hearing until Aug. 17. The tax agency is to present the written grounds of their position,” the lawyer said.

The inspectorate believes that the company took facilities at the increase initial price, which resulted in accruing the depreciation bonus in the larger volume. The factory included the sum in expense and reduced profit tax.

Roshen Corporation, one of the largest producers of confectionery goods in Ukraine, includes Kyiv, Kremenchuk (Poltava Oblast) and Mariupol confectionery factories, two production sites in Vinnytsia Oblast, Bershadmoloko milk and butter plant (Vinnytsia Oblast), two production facilities in Lipetsk region (Russia), Klaipeda confectionery factory (Lithuania).
