Dniproavia Airline, which is part of the Ukrainian Aviation Group jointly with Kyiv-based AeroSvit and Donetsk-based Donbassaero, on Feb. 4, 2013 canceled three flights from Kyiv to Dnipropetrovsk and one flight to Ivano-Frankivsk, reads a report on the online board at the Boryspil airport.

The airport’s press service told Interfax-Ukraine that the cancelation of the flights was not linked to the operation of the airport: the airline decided to cancel the flights. The airline’s call center told Interfax-Ukraine that the flights were canceled for commercial reasons.

As reported, on Jan. 25, 2013, Dniproavia appealed to AeroSvit with a proposal to perform its flights from Kyiv to Dnipropetrovsk and Ivano-Frankivsk under its own code.

AeroSvit then told Interfax-Ukraine that this is in line with its restructuring program, under which the company will specialize in servicing long-haul flights.

Dniproavia plans to start performing the flights from Feb. 1, 2013.

Dniproavia from Jan. 8, 2013 stopped all flights and sales of tickets. AeroSvit Airline said that it would continue using the planes of Dniproavia Airline on its flights under agreements on the provision of transport services.

On Dec. 20, 2012, Aviadnipro Airline (Dnipropetrovsk region) was registered in Ukraine. Its head is Serhiy Tkachenko, who earlier was head of Dniproavia.

Ukrainian Aviation Group is under the control of Privat Group (Dnipropetrovsk).
