Ukraine's largest private vertically integrated energy holding DTEK has signed a contract by 2013 to supply 120,000 tonnes of coal to Novocherkassk power plant, which is part of OGK-2, Russia's largest heat generating company, the holding reported on the London Stock Exchange's Web site.

The first batch of coal was supplied on October 6.

The volume of Ukrainian coal supplies to OGK-2 next year will be determined later.

As reported, earlier DTEK signed new contracts for anthracite deliveries to Brazil and Ethiopia. DTEK by the end of the year will deliver 50,000 tonnes of goods to South American ports for Gerdau, the largest regional steel company. The holding also supplies coal with low content of volatile substances to the cement plant owned by Ethiopian Petroleum Enterprise.
