You're reading: Erste Bank sees Hr 3 million profit since 2013

Kyiv - The Erste Bank (Kyiv, Erste Group) saw UAH 2.968 million in profit in January-March 2013, while year-over-year its loss stood at UAH 37.57 million, according to an official report of the financial institution.

The report says that its net interest-bearing income fell over the period by 6.8% year-over-year, to UAH 96.047 million.

Total assets were down by 18.4%, to UAH 6.559 billion, while loans and debts of clients narrowed by 5.8%, to UAH 3.384 billion.

Reserves for overdue credits contracted by 2.4%, to UAH 971.823 million, or 28.7% of the total sum of credits and debts of clients.

The bank’s net worth was down by 0.6%, to UAH 1.401 billion. The charter capital of the bank did not change, being UAH 1.381 billion. The largest shareholder in the bank as of early April 2013 was EGB Ceps Holding GmbH (99.9999%).

As reported, Erste Group on December 20, 2012 signed an agreement with a group of companies, controlled by Fidobank owner Oleksandr Adarych, on the sale of its Ukrainian subsidiary bank.

Erste Bank (formerly Prestige Bank) was registered in 2006. According to the National Bank of Ukraine, as of January 1, 2013 Erste Bank in terms of total assets ranked 29th (UAH 8.033 billion) among the 175 banks operating in the country.
