You're reading: Fozzy Group opens 5th Bila Romashka pharmaceuticals supermarket

Kyiv, July 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Kyiv-based Fozzy Group, Ukrane’s largest supermarket operator, opened another Bila Romashka pharmaceutical supermarket this month at 7, Filatova street in Kyiv, the fourth one in Kyiv and the fifth in Ukraine, according to a press release of the group.

The trade area of the supermarket is 25 square meters.

The assortment of goods exceeds 7,000 names.

Fozzy Group has been operating in Ukraine since 1997. As reported, as of February 23, 2009, the sales direction of the corporation was represented by the Silpo supermarket chain (150 outlets), the Fora discount store chain (96), the Bumi discounter store chain (33), the Bud Zdorov (22) drug store chain, a chain of Fozzy C&C hypermarkets (4), and its new chain of Bila Romashka pharmaceutical supermarkets (4).

In 2008 Fozzy Group boosted commodity turnover in Silpo, Fora, Bumi and Fozzy C&C by 28.7% year-over-year, to $1.93 billion, or Hr 10.2 billion.

The corporation also runs production facilities – the Nizhyn fruit and vegetable canning plant (Nizhyn brand), and the Varto Ltd. poultry farm. It also operates the restaurants Lame Paul’s (U Khromoho Pola), Prad-A-Café, Liquor, Staromacek (Staromak) in Kyiv, and the Ringoo electronics chain.
