You're reading: Infrastructure Ministry: Ukrzaliznytsia domestic debt 80 percent restructured, process will end by September

The internal debt of State Railways Administration of Ukraine (Ukrzaliznytsia) has been 80 percent restructured, the press service of the Infrastructure Ministry has told Interfax-Ukraine.

“It (domestic debt restructuring) is in the process and [has been] completed by 80 percent. We plan to complete restructuring by the end of summer,” an Ukrzaliznytsia spokesperson said.

As reported, Ukrzaliznytsia on May 12 this year announced the violation of obligations on the payment of principal on some internal bilateral loan agreements, cross-default on eurobonds and the plan of restructuring a Hr 32 billion debt to private creditors with the total debt being Hr 37.5 billion, in particular internal – Hr 22 billion.

Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk in early July demanded that the Ministry of Infrastructure immediately register PJSC Ukrainska Zaliznytsia and accelerate the process of its corporatization.
