Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolev doesn't rule out that Russia may halt all gas supplies to the European Union through Ukraine this winter.
“The winter won’t be easy in terms of gas supplies, and we expect that Russia will take the toughest measures against Ukraine. We expect a complete halt to even transit gas shipments in the direction of Europe, which may affect our reverse gas supplies,” he said at a Cabinet meeting in Kyiv on Sept. 23.
Talks with the European Commission on this subject are currently under way, he said.
