You're reading: Kyiv Post no longer just English-language newspaper

The Kyiv Post, Ukraine’s top English-language weekly newspaper for 15 years, launched a new version of its website (www.kyivpost.ua) on July 16 that offers news in Russian and Ukrainian languages.

The expansion into the languages comes one year after Mohammad Zahoor (left), publisher of the Kyiv Post, purchased the newspaper.

Jim Phillipoff (right), who manages media assets for Zahoor’s ISTIL Group, also attended the press conference at which the new website was formally launched.

Zahoor said: “Our news product [is] unique in the Ukrainian market. However, because until today the Kyiv Post has only been available in English, its reporting has been denied to the majority of the Ukrainian people, who speak Ukrainian and Russian. The new website eliminates that barrier.”
