JSC Kyivstar has built up a 100% stake in private JSC Ukrainian Radio Systems (URS), URS has announced in the information disclosure system of the National Commission for Securities and the Stock Market.
According to the announcement, Cyprus-based companies affiliated with Kyivstar – Wintop Management Limited, Cradel Investments Ltd., Cellcroft Holdings, Crayola Properties and Crisden Holdings, which owned 20% of URS, sold their stakes to Kyivstar.
As reported, Kyivstar announced its intention to become the owner of 100% of the shares of URS in August 2012. Prior to that, Kyivstar did not directly hold any URS shares.
Kyivstar, URS and Golden Telecom belong to the Ukrainian business unit of Vimpelcom Ltd., an international telecoms operator.
URS is currently a formal communications operator, as major telecoms services are provided by Kyivstar.
