JSC Kyivstar is expecting its investment in the building of a broadband Internet network to be returned in five or seven years, Financial Director Artem Nits has said.

"Investment in the project will see a return in five or seven years," he said.

He added that major investment in the project has been made and it is not planned to significantly expand the network in 2012.

Kyivstar’s Internet broadband network is built using the FTTB technology. It covers 137 cities in Ukraine, including small ones. Investment in the building of the network, according to the operator, amounted to about UAH 600 million.

JSC Kyivstar jointly with Ukrainian Radio Systems and Golden Telecom LLC is part of the Ukrainian business unit of Vimpelcom Ltd.
