Lviv Bus Plant (LAZ) has supplied 80 city buses to Macedonia under a contract signed with Skopje, the capital of Macedonia.

The LAZ’s press service reported that on August 18, 2011, the company shipped the last batch of A-183 buses to the customer.

"LAZ products were bought by the Macedonian government under a tender agreement signed in 2010 to service Skopje. All buses were made by LAZ on time and successfully service passengers of the Macedonian capital," reads the release.

The press service told Interfax-Ukraine that initially the agreement with Macedonia foresaw the supply of 84 buses, and later the conditions of the contract were adjusted, as the sides have not finally agreed the technical conditions for articulated buses, and four buses were excluded from the agreement.

"The buses could be included in the next contract," the press service said.

The report also says that next step of cooperation between the Ukrainian company and Macedonia could be production and supply of trolleybuses.

In 2010, LAZ won a tender to supply 84 city low-deck buses to Macedonia.
