You're reading: MTS Ukraine sees 85.2% rise in net profit in third quarter of 2012

Private joint-stock company MTS Ukraine in July-September 2012 saw its net profit rise by 85.2% on 2011, to UAH 664.6 million, reads a financial report of the company.

According to the document, the company’s income in Q3, 2012 came to UAH 2.664 billion, a rise of 6.6% year-over-year. Its OIBDA grew by 16%, to UAH 1.416 billion.

According to the report, the average revenue per user (ARPU) in Q3, 2012 stood at UAH 43.80, a rise of 3.7% year-over-year, and its MOU (average monthly minutes of use) came to 610 minutes, a rise of 4.1%.

As of October 1, the operator’s subscriber base amounted to 20.1 million users, 4.3% more than in Q3, 2011 and 2.3% more than in Q2, 2012.
