Myronivsky Hliboproduct (MHP) could build a 100 MW solar power station on the roofs of its poultry complex near Ladyzhin (Vinnytsia region), the head of the holding's energy saving projects, Oleksandr Dombrovsky, told journalists in Kyiv on March 15.

"Vinnytsia region has one of the highest levels of insulation in Ukraine. We are studying the issue of building a powerful solar power plant in Ladyzhin – on the roofs of our poultry complexes and technological premises. Their area is about 80,000 square meters," he said.

According to Dombrovsky, today the payback period of the project is still too long.

"As soon as the level reaches 4.5-5 years, we will build," he said.

MHP is the largest poultry producer in Ukraine. It also produces grain, sunflower oil and other foods.
