Ukraine's national oil and gas stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy has reported that the gas being pumped to Europe has decreased to almost half of the amount planned lately.

"In recent days, the shortfall from the east relative to planned indicators amounted to 180 million cubic meters, and for these days 200 million cubic meters. This is probably associated with Europe not now needing such amounts," Deputy Naftogaz Ukrainy Chief Vadym Chuprun told the press in Kyiv on Friday.

The gas-pumping target was around 400 million cubic meters (mcm) for the last few days, Chuprun said. He was unable to specify by how much less gas was transported last month generally as related to the pumping plan.
