You're reading: Naftogaz posts Hr 4.6 billion in UAS net losses in nine months

National JSC Naftogaz Ukrainy in January-September 2012 posted a net loss of $4.560 billion under Ukrainian accounting standards (UAS) against Hr 16.914 billion in net profit for the same period of 2011, the company said in the information disclosure system of the State Commission for Securities and the Stock Market.

The company’s net revenues over the period under review increased by almost 1%, or by Hr 715.952 million, to Hr 75.935 billion, while its gross profit decreased by 56.19%, or by Hr 5.512 billion, to Hr 4.298 billion.

As reported, Naftogaz earned almost Hr 9.148 billion in UAS net profits in 2011, whereas it was in the red in 2010, with a net losses estimated at Hr 24.185 billion.

Naftogaz Ukrainy unites oil and gas production assets in Ukraine, and is the country’s gas transit, underground gas storage, and oil pipeline transportation monopoly.
